The exhibition doors opened at 10.15 a.m. and inside 30 traders
and 15 members exhibits awaited the visitors. The exhibits subjects consisted of displays of medals, uniforms, weaponry and
badges and maintained the very high standard that had been set over the last few years. Indeed one visitor was heard to suggest
that they were at least as good as any of the presentations seen at the OMRS Convention that took place the day before in
London.
The traders were occupying
50 tables and their goods covered the full range of militaria. As usual the dealers provided an extremely friendly
addition to our exhibition and I am sure that anyone who meet with them would have been grateful for the expert advice and
goods they offered. We hope it also resulted in a profitable day for them as we are well aware that, without the dealers,
our exhibition would be much less enjoyable.
During the day we had over 300 visitors. Although this was fewer than
on previous years, we believe this can be attributed to the lovely weather on the day that was in contrast to the
weather we had been experiencing during the summer.
